My point is the money grabber comment can't really be substantiated by him choosing Gala. If betting who plays more CL football in the next 18 months, I think more likely Gala than us. That may change, and clearly I hope it does, but I don't think we can say there isn't any footballing case at all for choosing Gala.

I don't care what he says there is no way he has moved to turkey for football reasons if there was an offer from Liverpool on the table. You don't move to a substandard turkish league for the sake of maybe 5 or 6 CL games every 12 months and pass up the chance to play against world class teams such as united, city, chelsea and in the biggest league in the world.

Either we have not offered any deal or he has been motivated by the money.

As much as we might not like it and think that we are a bigger club / better team / play in a better league, with Galatasaray he'll probably win the league, he'll get Champions League football (however briefly) this season and next, and he'll probably get a better wage (IIRC we were offering a lower basic but with bonuses).
