He jumped off the floor. Dont care hiw many feet were there when he won the ball. Sooner or later jumping off the ground like that youll time it wrong and snap the opponents leg in two. Reckless, shouldn't win tge appeal and knowing rhe FA they won't

Kompany tackled from a standing start. Wilshere sprinted full pelt into a 50-50 so was far more likely to do damage and if either player was reckless it was Wilshere.
Not malicious, not dangerous, not a foul. Bull**** decision.Last edited by Kenneth; 14-01-13, 11:21 AM.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

Brother said to me yesterday that the Refs job is to enforce the rules of the game, and not make it a great occasion. Which is the right way to view refs. I dont buy into this 'Spoiling the game' lark.Originally posted by Neil Young View PostWT heck were Arsenal moaning about in the first half? It was a clear pelanty and Koscielny clearly deserved red for stopping Džeko reaching a chance to score, even if Tevez might have got there first. Then it was clearly a foul on Garcia which led to the first goal.
Bloody idiots, they hadn't got a leg to stand on.
As for Niall Quinn's brilliant idea that the sending off spoiled the game, then blame Koscielny for committing the foul.
Webb tried to make a show in the WC final, and in the process totally trashed the game.*Except Michael, who died.

Wilshere was running with the ball and doesn't go into a challenge at all Hes falling over right at the s time art of the challenge (stabding on hus I wn foot) - before any contact. To describe hum as reckless is utter madness.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostKompany tackled from a standing start. If stupidity is now a red card, most games will end up as five-a-side matches..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Actually, Kompany did well not to injure Wilshere with a head on direct challenge like that. It was two feet in the air but the trailing leg was kept by his side. Still, I think it was a red, just.
I've seen plenty of great slide tackles this season that are done by the book.
Also, Robbie Savage disagress with me, so I must be right.Last edited by Maxiedge; 14-01-13, 12:46 PM.

They're both examples where the rule is being enforced but the rule needs to be changed because it's just too vague - Kompany's tackle yesterday was absolutely perfect. It was a textbook tackle.Originally posted by Alex View PostKompany's sending off was similar to Shelvey's. Both were a little rash, but neither player went in with any intent at all. Not reds.
