West Ham could have saved themselves a journey to Old Trafford on Wednesday night - because they were beaten before their FA Cup replay had started.
At least according to the official Manchester United website they were anyway.
A full two hours and 20 minutes before kick-off, the Tickets & Hospitality section was advertising fourth round tickets, with the opening paragraph reading: “After a great win in the FA Cup Round 3 replay against West Ham, United will now face Fulham in the fourth round….”
Thankfully Wayne Rooney’s winner removed some of the egg from the guilty party’s face, although if there truly is a soothsayer working in the United commercial department, can you please email MSN with the Euromillions numbers and the winner of the Grand National? Thanks in advance.
