A succesion of managers have all bought costly flops and while i don't rate Barton I think he would have helped them this season.

Now Warnock will know what's it like to be blamed for relegation when it was someone else's fault.

And a good point too, Reece.

Haha. Warnock's response should be fun.

I'd also have said Mark Hughes had more than a large hand in this.

One would guess that Warnock is just about to pick up the phone to TalkSport.

Clearly James Cowan is the guilty man.

Joey Barton could still be a "very useful" player for the club in the Championship next season.
Barton, who criticised QPR's players after relegation, wants his Marseille loan stay to become permanent.

But Fernandes says no deal is in place for the 30-year-old to leave.

"If Joey and Marseille want (the transfer), then we will talk. However, he is a QPR player, and is contracted to QPR," he said on QPR Player.

"He helped Newcastle out (of the Championship). Some would say we lacked his fighting spirit in the midfield.
"Marseille have got to put an offer in. Joey is under contract and Joey would be a very useful player for Queens Park Rangers.

Barton wants to extend his stay at Marseille
"That has to be a financial deal which would have to be worked out if he wants to go to Marseille, but as far as I am concerned he is a QPR player and in the summer will come back."

PFA should offer Barton some anger management and get a comedian to do violent jokes.

Harry Redknapp insists QPR will not be held to ransom for their star players following relegation to the Premier League.
                            link
A 0-0 draw at Reading last Sunday meant both sides dropped out of the top flight and talk has swiftly turned to the ramifications for Redknapp's squad.

The former Tottenham boss admits the likes of goalkeeper Julio Cesar and striker Loic Remy will be in demand - but vowed their valuations would be met.

"We are not in trouble because Tony (Fernandes) and the other owners have said we aren't going to panic and give people away cheap," Redknapp said.

"If someone wants to take a player they are going to have to pay the money we think he is worth or he will stay here.

"The goalkeeper (Cesar) is a top, top goalkeeper who wants to play in the World Cup for Brazil but if Real Madrid or someone come in for him we want his value for him, we are not going to give him away. (Loic) Remy for sure, people will be interested in him.

"We would like to keep Chris Samba here for another year if we can to try and get us out of the league, but if someone wants Chris Samba and he decides he doesn't want to stay, you want your money for him or he stays here.

"I don't know who is looking for the exit too much because I don't know where

they are going to exit to," he said.

"Where are they all going to go, Bayern Munich or somewhere - Barcelona? I don't see it.

"I don't know if they'd do much better than they have here. I can see the goalkeeper wanting to go because he is a Brazilian national goalkeeper

so I can see him wanting to move.

"I don't see too many others - Remy, difficult to keep him, he's a French international and will score goals at the top level for sure."

QPR confirmed last week that Redknapp would remain at the club and Fernandes has now revealed the manager’s Premier League salary, estimated at £2.5 million a year, will be cut.

Fernandes described the club’s season as “tragic in many ways. It is a Shakespearean play in the making”.

When asked about relegation clauses, he added: “Yes. All the players? No. At least 60 per cent. The manager? Yes. His salary goes down. We have been made out to not be sensible, stupid.
[The] guys on TV have torn me apart. We are not stupid.”
Not stupid, but the Malaysian entrepreneur revealed that he had sunk around “the £50 million mark” of his own personal wealth into QPR and admitted that he had been “naive” since he and his group of ambitious investors acquired the club in August 2011.
