    The Relegation Thread (2012/13)

Aston Villa are well and truly in the mix for the drop.

I want them to go down with QPR and Wigan, but I think Wigan will - once again - survive at the last and Reading will go instead. It was a big win for Newcastle yesterday and whilst their recent run of form was atrocious, they should have enough to see them right. It will be interesting to see if Southampton's gamble also pays off.

In the other leagues, Barnsley, Hartlepool and Portsmouth are pretty much gone, in my opinion.

Will be a close race, especially after QPR started picking up some points.

I hope Southampton goes down, purely because of the lack of class regarding the sacking of Adkins. With the rest of the teams in the race I'm not so fussed, but wouldn't mind Villa and QPR going down, but really think Reading are prime candidates. I also wouldn't rule Fulham out of the race completely yet, far from impressed with them atm.

Newcastle will stay up as you say

Pains me to say it but I have a feeling that QPR will scrape some more results together - it'll go down to the wire but for me it's Villa, Wigan and Norwich/Southampton.

I hate Villa so would love to see them go down, complete ****house of a team. Roll over for everyone else but as soon as we play them, they think they're Barca.

I think you're right about QPR mate. They're not so far adrift anymore which is a ballbag.

Reading will go and probably Wigan.

I'd like Villa to go down too and at the moment I think they might.

            Villa or Wigan
            QPR
            Reading

I have a sneaky suspicion that Villa will get out of it on the last day so going with either Villa or Wigan to escape, the other two will go IMO

              Villa
              Reading
              QPR

Think Wigan will get out of it again.

Muddled deserves to get relegated for this.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

I reckon Suarez will hit top form this year and a new signing in January would offer a twin threat

villa look resigned to going down - their is zero fight left in them, in a terrible state with a **** squad and no real hope of anything at the moment

they're doomed! and they ****ing beat us at home

Qpr reading and villa to go down. I think southampton will play well enough to stay up, they look good going forward
