QPR boss Harry Redknapp on Sky Sports: "I do not think we will be saying goodbye to Jamie Mackie. [Potential loan signing] Jermaine Jenas is an excellent player when he is fit.

"The rest of the day involves training for me, and chief executive Philip Beard will getting on with the transfers.

"I do not know why I am associated with deadline day, I did not do that much business with Spurs. I wish I was sitting in a situation where we did not need any players.

Deadline day has definitely started now. Yes, the QPR manager has just been interviewed as he arrives for training. He appears to have confirmed the signing of defender Chris Samba, saying "it is good we have brought him in to replace Ryan Nelsen," but that is not a definite done deal yet.
