Imo he had already well established squad before he arrived and Bale really stepped up this season.

In addition, they had quite bit of luck on their side and a lot of close games went into their favor.

I think to be honest Spurs are where we want to be at the moment and they'll take some catching, certainly this season.

You have to laugh. Yeah, that is a strange decision. You'd have expected him to have gone with the strongest 11 as if it doesn't work he'll get crucified for leaving him and Ba out.
