    Wenger straight down the tunnel.

To be fair, I don't like seeing him under pressure as they would probably be very good without him.

Wenger really is a bad loser

As good as Bayern are Arsenal barely mustering anything going forward bar a wrongly given corner was pretty pathetic. Even with our current average lot theres no way they'd walk out of Anfield on a CL night thinking they pissed it. That was pitiful.

Really? It depends who they get in of course and how much money they really have but he has been pretty good.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Rafa will be taking over, if they miss out on CL spots.

As far as second legs go I fancy Heather McCartney is more equipped to win than Arsenal.

He has, but I think he's lost it. They have a capital location, very good revenues, a decent global reputation, ie all of the ingredients to be successful, more successful than they are.

Could be. On the other hand they don't have the revenue of Man United (or even us, IIRC) and obviously aren't backed like Man City or Chelsea.

It's harder to get a good manager than it appears, and getting rid of a good one with a good record is not necessarily the way to success, as we know to our cost. Turmoil there has got to be good and the chance of them making a bad appointment is probably better than even, not by much but enough.

Their revenues are higher than that, about 25% more than ours, #6 in Europe according Deloitte. Its always a stick or twist gamble but they have potential to be a much more successful club imo.

Yep. They need a change. Qualifying for the CL is boss, money and all that but keeping him pretty much means they've no chance of ever winning it aswell. He's tactically inept at that level and has been since he's been there. They just need freshening up, by someone who knows how to spot a defender. Hopefully he's got a job for life though.

Most of Bayern's attacks tend to go down their right wing so I can see Robben/Muller/Lahm would target that area.

If Wenger has half a brain left then he will play Vermaelen at LB to give them half a chance but then they will get murdered through the middle

                          Can't wait. 3-1 to Bayern

Oh, ok. Mind, that's partly down to our continued failure to make the top 4, which he has always done. And all the time when money was tight too, when they were building The Dump.

It is stick or twist. I still reckon the odds are against the new manager changing everything unless there's a big pot of money. And of course there might well be.

Kroenke will wait till the club is debt free and then sell. The new owners will probably borrow money against the club, use profits to pay the debts down then sell, and so on...
