            Brazil to walk from Talk?

Talksport radio are in danger of losing their lead presenter Alan Brazil, who is out of contract at the end of next month.

Brazil, whose breakfast show has been the mainstay of the station for 13 years, is undecided whether he wants to continue on the gruelling morning shift, for which he commutes from his Suffolk home to the studios on London’s South Bank.

Man with the mic: Brazil's Talksport contract is due to expire at the end of December

Brazil, who is understood to be paid around £1,500 per four-hour show, will be looking for a significant pay rise before signing another deal.

The former Ipswich footballer enjoys a bon viveur lifestyle that means he occasionally fails to turn up for work, especially after a day at the races. But he is a natural broadcaster and the marquee name on the network.
I'd love to get £1,500 for turning up to work pissed

                      - i've not listened to talksport in months

a change would freshen it up.

Among the many things I hated was him constantly hammering horse racing down peoples throats. I really dont care about the running and lingfield, let alone speak to someone there for 20 minutes about some other race.

Every sport has its place obviously, but it was as prominent as Football.

                          He doesn't commute anyway.

Has a flat in Canary Wharf which he uses during the week.

I've heard him mention this quite a few times.

He's a blabbering fool anyway. Adds **** all to a debate besides making out he is mates with everyone and, as Alex said, ramming horse racing and his gambling down our throats. £1,500 per day is ****ing ridiculous

Fowler was on the Brazil show this morning.

I only caught about 20 minutes of it at around 8:10am - 8:30am. Did I miss much?

I caught it about 7.30am to 8am. It wasn't that exciting. He did say the best manager he every played under was Roy Evans though. Not Rafa. Not Houllier. No, Roy Evans
