Edin Dzeko, 26, could hold the key to Rooney's exit. The Manchester City striker is poised to join Borussia Dortmund in a £20m deal that could see German club let striker Robert Lewandowski, 24, join Manchester United for around £18m. That would enable United to sell Rooney.

But Chelsea may hijack Liverpool's attempts to sign Carr, who plays for Dulwich Hamlet.

And a very happy Friday to you Stuart

They are going to find it difficult to shift 'Wazza' if he does not take a serious pay cut.

I'm not sure exactly what he's earning, reports seem to range from £200K p/w to £300K p/w but what's certain is that he completely mugged United off when he forced them to offer him that new contract.

Any talk of Rooney to Barcelona is just side-splittingly wide of the mark.

I'd even say that Madrid will show no interest neither. Manchester City will stay clear after he flirted with them just to get a pay-rise. So, as mentioned above, that leaves PSG.

I kinda hope he does go abroad; all we hear is how the bestest players play in the bestest league, but it will actually be interesting to see a decent English player challenge himself in a more competitive league.

Remember when he whacked in his transfer request claiming Utd were not signing enough quality players?

That's gone well for him hasn't it

I can't see him going anywhere other than PSG unless United accepted a lower offer and he dropped his wages but they're both highly unlikely.

Madrid won't want him, if they sign any forwards this year (and let Higuain go) I'd expect to see them put all their efforts into getting either Falcao or Cavani, same for City.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has refused to rule out the possibility that striker Edin Dzeko, 26, could leave this summer despite the Bosnian being the club's leading scorer this season.

Manchester United have discussed the possibility of bringing Ronaldo, 28, back to Old Trafford from Real Madrid at a meeting with kit manufacturers Nike.

I hope Lewandowski goes to both Mancs and Bayern, I hate them both with a passion. He needs 3 or 4 chances for every goal and that is in the Bundesliga where strikers tend to have more time on the ball. I watch him every week and the amount of chances Dortmund make, he should be scoring many more goals.
