Ah, maybe I didn't see that. The last I read was that their £350m 10-year sponsorship deal had no comparable and UEFA were investigating. I guess when you compare to us just getting £20m a year, £35m isn't a huge leap.Originally posted by Alex View PostIts not over inflated. There has been quite a bit written about how it represent fair to good value for Etihad and Man City.
Nowhere near PSG though who get £200m per year to 2016

It is massively overinflated. So they're sponsoring a training complex too. Big deal. It doesn't warrant a deal that dwarfs the next closest deal elsewhere.Originally posted by Alex View PostIts not over inflated. Im basing my opinion off the back of this article. It changed my mind on thing.Originally posted by dom9 View PostIt is massively overinflated. So they're sponsoring a training complex too. Big deal. It doesn't warrant a deal that dwarfs the next closest deal elsewhere.
Im not saying its value for money. But its hard to argue with whats said here.
Also, I remember Arsenals deal with Emirates looking like brilliant value for the club back in the 2000s. Now it seems quite small.*Except Michael, who died.

Hmm. I've read it and I remain to be convinced. He's saying that sponsorship of the training campus could be worth twice as much as stadium sponsorship. That doesn't tally to me.Originally posted by Alex View PostOh I don't know.

It's not just a training complex though is it? The deal also includes the community stuff plus the part of the part that the council wants to become a 'nationally significant' tourism attraction. No idea what that would mean but if it were to come off then it is arguably at least as financially beneficial and prestigious as the ground itself.Originally posted by dom9 View PostHmm. I wouldn't be completely surprised to see City move on every forward at the club tbh Dzeko has been heavily linked with a move to Dortmund to replace Lewandowski. Madrid seem really keen on Aguero and its never 100% certain that Tevez will stay even if they don't sell him he might fancy a few month golfingOriginally posted by Chazza View PostWho are the outs for city then?
Nasri
Lescott
Kolo Toure
Sinclair
Dzeko?
Gudietti

Look at the players still lumbering around at City and he'll have left his mark of QPR for a good few years to come no doubt.
He's a terrible manager. Absolutely shambolic.

I'm sure Man City's owners can find a prestigious international firm of auditors to sign off on the deal and make sure the paperwork all conforms to FFP.
Any one of PwC (Northern Rock), Deloitte (Standard Chartered money laundering), Ernst and Young (Lehman Brothers) or KPMG ($456m fine for criminal wrongdoing in creating fraudulent tax evasion schemes), they're all good.
Ok, not good exactly, but certainly, er, pliable..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
