I wouldn't pay £15m for Pedro. He's a very good system player, but he's a system player nevertheless.

Jose Mourinho has beaten another of his former Chelsea assistants to a transfer by agreeing a deal with FC Porto for Christian Atsu – a long-term target for Liverpool.
While not quite as brazen as last week's £30million acquisition of Willian after the Brazil international had passed a medical at Tottenham, Mourinho's move deprived Brendan Rodgers of a young Ghana winger Liverpool were ready to pay an annual salary of €1.8m.
Atsu, 21, was in the final year of a contract worth less than a tenth of the wages on offer in the Premier League. Having also attracted the interest of Everton and Celtic, Porto had also accepted an offer of €3.5m from Espanyol. The La Liga side were unable to agree personal terms with Atsu, who has already played 16 times for his national team.
With Chelsea's squad already heavily stocked with attacking midfielders, Atsu may be sent out on loan for the first season of his Stamford Bridge contract. Espanyol are a candidate club.

I don't agree. Chelsea have done this kind of transfers the last few years. They sign a lot of young talents, loan them out. If they are good enough then they will keep them or else they will continue to loan them out or sell them.Originally posted by Sarb View PostGood old Mourinho. The Special One buying players for the sake of it. The only way he knows to win. Prick
Cheaper than signing the same players in a few years time and you don't risk your rivals signing them.
If you forget about all the sackings then Roman's project is excellent IMO.Stop the cyberhate

from now on I will skip talking about our finances. That is a promise and will save myself from looking like a

Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas rules out signing Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata. Spurs did enquire about the possibility of signing Mata, but Villas-Boas concedes there is no chance that the Blues will offload one of their players to a rival club.
"First, Chelsea wouldn't sell to Tottenham in any way or form, as they think that we are title contenders," he said. "Mata is a great, great player - player of the season last season - very, very important player for Chelsea.
"They're just not going to strengthen another team that, in their opinion, are rivals for the title."

That's encouraging for us. We're crap.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
