Considering this has already happened to them once you would have expected them to be a bit better run.

      The fans must be gutted.

Yeah I know, problem is who is allowed to come in and run football clubs; it seems there is little to no real checks on the suitability etc...

Only a matter of time for a club to go I suppose, been so many close shaves in the past few years.

On another note I see BT sport have secured the rights to 30 non league games next season.

Why don't you rescue them, OurCasemore? You can afford it.
            .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

That's good news with the BT deal.

You can and you would if you renamed them the Seals.

                  Come on you Pinnipeds.

What sort of people do this

Wivenhoe Town goalkeeper Richie Robins attacked while unconscious

Mr Robins suffered fractures to his eye socket and cheek bones
An amateur footballer has been left needing facial reconstruction surgery after he was kicked and beaten as he lay unconscious following an attack by up to six men in Colchester.

Wivenhoe Town FC goalkeeper Richie Robins is thought to have been set upon after he tried to protect a woman.

The 21-year-old student was attacked outside Subway on Queen Street at about 03:30 GMT on Saturday.

He was out with friends after coming home from university for Christmas.

Essex Police said the former Colchester United youth team player had been punched and knocked out before the attack continued as he lay on the floor.

A spokesman said there had been about six attackers who were described as black and in their late teens and early 20s.

Officers arrested a 19-year-old man from Colchester in connection with the attack, who has since been released on police bail.

Det Con Seff Manesh said the force was "examining CCTV to establish what happened and who was involved".

"This student has sustained some very nasty-looking injuries which will affect him for the foreseeable future.

"We're looking to speak with those bystanders who saw what happened and what started the melee."

A spokesman for Wivenhoe FC, who play in the Eastern Counties League Premier Division, said Mr Robins suffered "severe" injuries including fractures to his eye socket and cheek bones.

He added that the club "sends Richie their best wishes for a speedy recovery".

Hyde currently 2-0 up away from home with a couple of minutes to go.

                            Their record this season is

                            P27, W0, D4, L23 F21 A72
                            Football without Origi is nothing

The Wealdstone Raider's coming to town

Going to this and hope he travels with his team. Got the feeling that 'Got no fans' might be chanted a fair bit by both sides
