How is Arsenal in 3rd? I suppose Spurs've dropped off and Chelsea's been off-colour all season but Arsenal have been worse imo. This is weird.

Sorry, that was a bit curt wasn't it?
I know what you mean, Arsenal seem to have just snuck up there. They always ****ing do though. Every season people think they're ****ed, but Wenger is amazing at building a coherent attacking unit. Once they get going they score goals with such quiet regularity. Their goal difference is really impressive.Like blood on iron

Haha no it wasn't curt! I didn't take offence or anything no worries.Originally posted by Red_Polo View PostSorry, that was a bit curt wasn't it?

Yeah I suppose you're right but they seemed particularly poor this season. I suppose last season was similar. And they arguably don't deserve to be at 59 points on the basis of 2/3 of their goals yesterday being quite dubious. Ah well. They do always sneak up there! It's true!

They often make themselves a forgotten team to me early on, only for me to wonder what they **** they think they're doing near the top 4 come the new year. Sneaky, sneaky ****ers

United embarrassed and appalled by post-derby disturbances
STATEMENT FROM NEWCASTLE UNITED
We were embarrassed and appalled by the behaviour of a minority of so-called fans who last night were involved in disturbances and disorder in Newcastle city centre after the match.
Newcastle United have been working with Northumbria Police, and will continue to do so, in order to identify all of the individuals concerned.
The Club will take the strongest possible action against those involved in the disturbances and will impose immediate lifetime bans on all those found guilty.
These deplorable individuals have no place at Newcastle United and bring shame on the Club and the vast majority of its proper, law-abiding, fans.

To be fair to Newcastle United, they had emailed all their fans last week (people with fan cards, details registered with their website etc) and asked for them to be sensible, not to react and cause a mischief. There are always idiots though.
It's quite the strong-worded statement too - 'so-called fans', 'deplorable', 'shame' and whatnot
