    FA Cup final

Can't believe it's tomorrow. Next to no fanfare. Other league games being played on the same day is an absolute joke, as is the 5.15 kick off. Such a shame that the FA Cup has become something barely anyone gives a **** about. I know we say the same every year but it used to be so vital, and the day itself was magical whether your club in was in the final or not. For old times' sake I'd like to watch ESPN's 9 hour build up but I care so little about the outcome - a foregone conclusion - that I'm not sure I will. What a shame.

It has been totally overshadowed by Alex Ferguson leaving. I didn't even realise it was on until this morning.

Ill watch it, because its the Cup final. But I could not care less at all.

My Dad is a big City fan, I haven't even heard him mention it.
    *Except Michael, who died.

Don't think I've ever been less interested in an FA Cup final. Meh.

Did the transport issue get sorted out in the end?

Sky has effectively killed the magic the cup had. Was always THE game I looked forward to as a kid. Now, as you say it is an absolute non-event on a par with the League Cup.

          Definitely.

The 5:15 KO is an absolute joke. It's a belittled competition now sadly.

Remember the days of it starting at 8am and watching the teams eat breakfast and train? Nowadays you get 15 minutes of how the teams reached the final, a couple of goal clips and sixteen advert breaks an hour.

TBF it's starting at 8am on ESPN tomorrow ....but I don't think clubs these days allow the sort of access we used to get - breakfast in the hotel, cameras on the team bus etc. Loved all that stuff. Each team captain doing humorous little 'pen pic' type profiles of each player. Lovely stuff.

Not having it after the league has finished was bad enough.

Having a league game played on the same day is ****ed up.

I remember for the 1996 cup final, a mate of mine at the time, who was a Liverpool supporter ended up buying the Man United cup final song because he liked the song?!!?

Offer a CL spot for the cup and you'll soon see it becoming 'the' competition again.

TV coverage will still be ****e though.

Cup Final songs haha. Used to love the Spurs ones Chas and Dave used to do.

Shame what the FA has allowed the competition to become now. 5.15pm kick off FFS.

I'd be amazed if this isn't a 4 or 5 nil-er to City. Hope it's a good one for neutrals, end to end, lots of goals, but somehow I think the game will be over after 20 minutes.

                            Honest question, who's playing?

I have not watched any FA Cup this season since we got knocked out.
                            Oh I don't know.
