That article is pie in the sky. Where the **** is Mickey going to get 20m to pay shakhtar off? We can't give it to him cos he'd be taxed on it. Smashing open his piggy bank as we speak.

    Silly season is right.

Maybe that's why we're negotiating with his 'investors'?

I hope #LFC are keeping everything kosher with regards to this #Mkhitaryan deal. Player is on strike, forcing a move.

So what happens if we sign him and in 2 seasons time he wants a move to Spain. Will he go on strike again if we turn bids down? Im not very impressed with the way he's gone about the situation

It's modern football I'm afraid. Sometimes it will work for us, other times against us. At least (assuming any of this is true) it shows he really wants to join us - that has to be a good thing (until he really wants to join Barca ).

This will not be necessary, in 3 years the Barca players will be going on strike to force a move to us, the undisputed champions of Europe.

Get us back in the CL and in 2 years time I will be more than happy for him to move him to Spain. If he did it would mean he has been a success and we would get a decent fee for him considering his age then. Win win.

Mascherano did it to a lesser degree. Sometimes we'll be the party being bent over, sometimes we'll be the .... well.

Players are no longer allowed with any third party ownership in the PL I believe.

I think that rule is coming in over Europe too. I dont think its ever been allowed in the Prem. I remember some weird wrangling around the Mascherano transfer.

I think it was a slightly ambiguous rule then, which has now been tightened up after that whole sorry saga.
