We cannot replace HM like for like just we could not replace Luis like for like ,if he'd leave, but if we would buy let's say Wanyama and Eriksen for about what we would have paid for HM alone I don't think we would have problems with balancing our midfield and potentially have stronger starting 11.

Yes. I'm guessing that his pimps didn't want to sell their stake and they haven't. That wasn't an option for us so the deal collapsed.

a midfield two of gerrard with wanyama still wont be enough defensively to cover the attacking prowess of suarez, sturridge, eriksen and say coutinho/aspas plus the two fullbacks.

If we sign eriksen then playing henderson becomes a must whereas lucas, gerrard and mkhitrayan would be enough to accomodate sturridge, suarez and coutinho.

even wanyama as a replacement for lucas isnt enough to do gerrards and eriksens running for them.

I want to learn the whole story on this transfer, how it happened that we lost him. Will we ever know? After Dempsey/ Sigurdsson and now this, I worry about the pattern I think I see, but obviously, I don't know the facts, so maybe I am looking for patterns in unrelated, unique events. I think he would have been great for us... alas. On to our next targets...

Would be interesting to actually know what really went on with that Mkhitaryan transfer debacle.

It would also be interesting to know how many other players we missed over the years but because there was no internet/****ter and 5,000 bull****ters giving us useless lies we were none the wiser.

I think the only thing that has changed is the massive media coverage of mostly **** that the club has to endure every time it farts.

cant rely on either the times, echo or daily post for the truth.

Another poster said that LFC plant stories in the media via these streams and that was confirmed by neil jones re papadopolous's 'dodgy' knee so its unlikely we will ever find out the facts. Sometimes the truth is best unheard.

no doubts all clubs do that.

Suppose only thing to do is not believe anything until the player is signed.
