Be surprised if Everton let him go considering they think he's better than Suarez.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I wouldn't say he's our weak link but the pedestal and the influence he has on the team means that there's a general pattern:
Gerrard plays well = team plays well (and vice versa).

I think we need to get out of that mould and I'm hoping his stint out and the performances of Henderson and Allen will give him more confidence in sharing the burden.

Yes, or top 15 (at a push)

If I had to qualify that, I'd say he's a legend of the game who's still doing it at the top level; Liverpool captain; England captain; highest number of assists in the League; best set pieces in the league; still can slide tackle better than any defensive midfielder out there. You'd want a Steven Gerrard in your team, not necessarily in your World XI, but in and around.

Not being in top 100 is a joke

The vice versa bit has caused us a few problems in recent years. The (over)reliance on him to perform isn't healthy. Trouble is that he feels king pin and he needs to accept less responsibility so that he and others can thrive together

Just watching this PL 100 Henry special on Sky. Just a fantastic player that seemingly scored about 25 goals against us!

Fulham have completed a double signing after United States captain Clint Dempsey returned to his former club on a two-month loan and Alan Curbishley was brought in as First Team Technical Director.

The 30-year-old Dempsey is currently with Seattle Sounders FC and he will spend the Major League Soccer off-season at Craven Cottage in what will be his second spell at the club.

Meanwhile, former Charlton and West Ham manager Curbishley will work closely with head coach René Meulensteen as the club seek to retain their Premier League status for a 14th consecutive year.

Dempsey spent five and a half seasons at the west London club having first signed a permanent deal in January 2007 from New England Revolution.

Curbishley returns to football after a five-year absence following his resignation from Upton Park in 2008 and head coach Muelensteen is excited to call on his wealth of experience.

The Dutchman said: 'I'm very happy that Alan has joined us as I know his expertise will be invaluable as we enter the remaining months of the season.

'Following Martin [Jol's] departure I discussed with both Alistair Mackintosh and the Chairman the challenges we face, and I was delighted that they supported the idea of additional support within the coaching team.

'Alan has a proven track record in the industry and understands full well what it takes to succeed. I look forward to sharing ideas and listening to advice, to ensure Fulham Football Club remains where it belongs: in the Premier League.'
