Do you genuinely believe a 19 year old with zero experience at Premier/la liga level will get any game time at Liverpool next season? Not every highly rated youth player at Barca goes on to become a decent player. For every Messi, there is a Bojan, Pacheco, Dos Santos. And assuming he did come on loan and did do well which is highly unlikely given his age/experience, Barca would never let him sign for us. Getting him on loan does not make sense unless we have an option to buy.

Absolutely no. I could kind of understand why people were happy for Sahin to come on loan for just a season (he had already established himself at Dortmund before joining Madrid) even if I didn't agree with it. But I see no point in bringing in a youngster on loan who will stifle the progress of Sterling, Ibe etc only for him to have a season under his belt and then go back to Barcelona. It makes no sense. We either sign him on loan with a buy option or buy him on a permanent deal straight off.

Well, you were proved wrong about Sahin. You weren't the only one, mind - I remember the uproar at him only being signed on loan and not permanently.

Totally disagree. Can't judge every season long loan deal using Sahin as the barometer. This guy is of such reputed quality that we'd be insane to turn it down just cos it might stifle Sterling and Ibe a bit. Raheem should go out on loan anyway IMO. It makes absolute sense if Deulofeu's immense quality helps us into the top 4.

Thinking about this - this is a new link and only arisen since Luis Alberto signed on Saturday. Those two not only had a demon partnership on the pitch but apparently got on famously off it. We must've asked Alberto about this ....Barrett's talk that the player is "understood to want to join a passing team" and that his relationship with Alberto "could be the trump card"....we must've received positive noises about this.

I think we'd have no chance of getting him on a permanent deal at the moment even if Barca would be foolish enough to sanction it anyway. I'm sure he'd be snapped up straight away by Bayern, Chelsea, Juve or similar.

It's not like the lad is 17 and still really raw, he's at an age where it's completely possible to break straight into the first team.

Not quite sure who that is aimed at. I'd agree but currently we aren't challenging and we aren't in Europe next season. A loan would be an easier sell than a perm deal IMO.

that deulofeu might be a little young and yeh, its only a youtube highlights, etc, but he could be the new suarez. if we get him we can just sell him straight to madrid for 50m and loan him straight back for a few years until madrid want him back. aarrgggghhhhh
