IIRC Souness threw money at our problems back in the early 90s. Post-Dalglish decent-ish players were turning us down left, right and centre so we went out and bought inflated sh*t instead.

They're income is only going to decrease with less revenue from home matches and hopefully no CL money.
      One word: Chevrolet

United have a vast income, it'll take years of underperformance for them to suffer from FFP.

Unfortunately this is true they have a number of huge sponsorship deals (many of which will run for a good number of years yet) and IIRC the loans taken out by the Glazers to buy the club don't come into FFP considerations. Our best hopes for them ****ing up is to hope that the Glazers don't give them a lot of money to spend and/or that the money they do spend is wasted by Moyes.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The Glazers are carpet baggers. Once they realise manure aren't CL material any longer they will start stripping wayyyy before any of these deals come close to an end.

As for putting their own money in......are you being serious?

Chelsea have some good players out on loan and others that are unlikely to be ever used, they could raise a fair sum by selling them if needed to balance the books

I don't mean put their own money in I mean give the manager money that comes from the clubs revenue streams (as I assume that they have control over that).

I would guess some of that income is performance related, but knowing that the guy setting up the deal got fired right after, maybe not..
