I was hoping for a more agile, silky skilled player for the attacking role that Rodgers said he wanted to solve. Having said that, if we pull this off I can see him doing a similar job to what Kuyt provided when he played under Rafa as a wide forward. They have similar attributes but Costa has more ability imo.

Or we might attempt what Bayern did last season with Mandžukić - use a players whose movement and fight up front makes it hard for the opposition to play out and makes space deeper and in wide areas for other to exploit.
