    European Leagues 2013 - 2014

Thought it might be good to have a general thread for the European leagues.

Was just looking at the BBC ticker thing for the Bundesliga which has kicked off tonight - there were a mental of couple of minutes:

    2104:
PENALTY TO BAYERN - Bayern 2-1 Bor. Monchengladbach
But Bayern Munich have a penalty and a chance to kill this one off. Thomas Muller breaks into the box and it strikes the hand of Alvaro Dominguez. The defender doesn't know much about it but it's clearly handled.
    2106:
SAVED PENALTY - Bayern 2-1 Bor. Monchengladbach
Thomas Muller steps up to take it - and it's a brilliant save from Marc-Andre ter Stegen, one handed, high, strong wrist, fabulous save!
    2106:
PENALTY TO BAYERN - Bayern 2-1 Bor. Monchengladbach
But incredibly, Bayern win another penalty instantly. Straight from the penalty save, Arjen Robben wins the rebound and again plays it against the hand of the hapless Alvaro Dominguez - who conceded a second penalty in about 45 seconds!
GOAL - Bayern 3-1 Bor. Monchengladbach - David Alaba (Pen)
And left-back David Alaba makes no mistake, steering into the bottom corner.
    2110:
    Bayern 3-1 Bor. Monchengladbach
Have you ever seen a team concede a penalty directly from another penalty? Never mind the same player conceding both. That was extraordinary
    Crazy scenes Geoff!

Reecie, please keep us updated throughout the season on the fortunes of FC Wacker.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Been keeping tabs on Finnbogason scored 36 goals last season & already has 11 this season. Guy will be snapped up quick smart if he carries on in this vein.
