Does it matter? It seems to me a lot easier to wait until it's confirmed where he's going.Originally posted by Phoenix07 View PostIs that a legitimate source?.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

I'm still confident we'll close the deal but I'd be happy with any of these signings if we miss out on WillianOriginally posted by Tee View Post**** me, this losing out on targets to Spuds is going to take some getting used to. FFS.

Bascombe's tweet was interesting. Says we are ready for both outcomes. Would indicate an alternative but hasn't tweeted in response to loads of questions on it.Originally posted by marcus50bucks View PostI'm still confident we'll close the deal but I'd be happy with any of these signings if we miss out on Willian

Lamela is available for 30m Euros now. Surprised if we don't try for him, seen as though the owners have links with FSG

The convince them to join is a big problem. A massive transfer fee and massive wages is the only chance IMO.Originally posted by marcus50bucks View PostI'm still confident we'll close the deal but I'd be happy with any of these signings if we miss out on Willian

I would offer Roma €30m for Lamela and the player £150k a week in wages. I think more and more fans realize that that is what it takes to get a high quality player to sign for us. I think FSG is also realizing that.Stop the cyberhate

from now on I will skip talking about our finances. That is a promise and will save myself from looking like a

It might indicate there's a plan B or it might just indicate the club don't know what he's going to choose.Originally posted by Sarb View PostBascombe's tweet was interesting. Oh FFS. If this sort of uninformed and uninformative ****e continues I'm going back to dog pictures.
Note: not aimed at poorscousertommy..

Could just mean they are prepared that he may choose Spurs and not have anything to do with a Plan B being lined up.
Turned out to be a tough window for us.

Yes, it's not been plain sailing but it could have been worse - look at Arsenal.Originally posted by Sarb View Post

I imagine there are other options to consider as that's how any decently run organization operates (and I'd say that's increasingly true of LFC) but how advanced an alternative transfer might be is impossible to say. I guess we'll know if Willian doesn't sign and we get someone else in quickly..

And then you end up with other players coming up to the boss "why am i earning less boss, I perform just as well" so you either have them pissed off and wanting to leave or end up sticking everyone on silly money.Originally posted by Arn View PostThe convince them to join is a big problem. Suddenly we've destroyed all the work to tidy up the books that's been done and we have no money for transfers next summer.
And tbh I don't think I'd really want a player who can be won over only by a bit of extra money.
He was going to come, but maybe as been won over by Spurs. Just as likely for the location as anything else.
There will be other players willing to come here, we're not exactly Accrington Stanley. We just have to be patient.
