Well, at least one thing is clear, if Spurs miss CL again there will be a few big name players in their squad with itchy feet, plus they will sack AVB. They have laid it all on the line, CL or nothing this season, and with the squad they are putting together they should really be challenging for the PL title this season.

I'm starting to get confused. We seem to be switching our priority positions as soon as we miss out on a target and I don't like that. I'll give you an example. We wanted Mkhitaryan for the attacking midfield role. We missed out on him and decided to go for a striker who could also play wide forward. That name was Costa. We missed out on him and then decided to go for proper wide forward Willian. Now that we have missed out on him it appears we are now looking to sign an out and out striker in Damiao. It makes no sense at all.

Yeah it's pretty worrying that to be honest. I can see why we aren't getting a No.10 though as it's likely Coutinho will play there now. But Rodgers said last week, Coutinho will stay No.10 if we sign a wide left forward. All up in the air if we now go for Damiao

Nothing wrong with any of that, with Coutinho being able to do a job outwide it gives you options if a great number 10 becomes available. Theres not one decent source reporting the Damiao stuff anyway.
