**** me - following someone on twitter doesn't mean you endorse their views. I follow loads of obnoxious arseholes on twitter - partly know thy enemy etc. and partly because some loons are really entertaining even though they don't realise it.
I find it far more disturbing that some tossers would try and make an issue of it. If he retweeted them, or commented in agreement with them then fair enough, but just following them passively

In hindsight he probably would have been better off saying "I followed them to laugh at the stuff they come out with". Who knows the real reason in all honesty. The guy's just a kid but is now getting hounded on Twitter by a lot of our fans, who don't want him purely because they think we should go out and spend £30m on a player instead.
