I think he's become a better player now. Not sure he's world class, but he's a good player.

Depends what your definition of world class is. Would Gareth Bale get into every team in the world currently? He might well do so for me, he's a world class talent. He's not in that upper bracket quite yet of the elite but that group is a pretty damn small group.

If you take the best comparison for this country, would you rather have say Hazard or Bale? I'd rather have Bale personally.

He is producing world class stuff at the moment in terms of end product and effectiveness. However I'm not that impressed with him, nor that goal in the Cup final recently. He's fast as **** and he can kick it really hard. This sort of talent has never overly impressed me. When his pace goes he'll be in trouble. Give me someone like Suarez - who doesn't rely on pace in the slightest - over Bale any day.

Bale isn't near Ronaldo,Messi & Suarez yet but he is clearly not just a speed merchant, that's not true statement to be fair for anyone who has watched him progress over the past 3 years. I can't stand Real but i do like Bale & Ronaldo, they dive on occasion but sure so does everyone these days... their style of play is thrilling to watch. Personally.. i don't think there is any player near Ronaldo right now, the guy is a machine, Suarez is getting there though

I used to support Real Madrid when i was a kid before the Galacticos... when likes of Michel,Butragueno,Hugo Sanchez & young Hiero played for them. The whole Galacticos era, spending whatever money on the best payer around etc no interest in that. I watch Spanish football every week i do enjoy it. The technique of most of the players is ridiculous. Seems that Spanish club football is definitely the strongest in Europe this season.

As for Bale, he started off pretty poorly at Real, he got injured and the massive pressure seemed to be too much for him, looked a lost figure at the start. But since then he has been excellent, some of the goals and assists he has got for them have been outstanding. His long range passing & crossing is brilliant, comes across as a nice guy too. Remember too, he has come into Madrid where Ronaldo takes almost every set piece & the presence Ronaldo has at the club... i have no doubt Bale's tally would be more if he didn't play second fiddle.

Anyways i do hope Athletico win, love a good underdog story! Although watching Diego Costa elbow,head butt & spit at everyone most weeks is pretty disgusting.. not to mention their crowd's racist actions... seems rife in Spain. Costa is some player but he comes across as a pretty nasty guy.. will fit is perfectly at Chelsea.

Put Hazard in a more attacking team than what he is in, and I reckon his goal and assist stats would improve dramatically.


As things stand, he has gotten 17 goals in 48 games for Chelsea this season. Quite a good return given how they often play.

In this case yes because unlike someone like Iniesta/Silava, Hazard is a goal scoring AM as opposed to a play making AM.
