Mesut Ozil is staying in Madrid, according to Marca. Turned down move after fee agreed. See @John_Ashdown liveblog:

Why would Fellaini wait until today to put in a transfer request?

He either wants to leave, or he doesn't.

I know they get these bonuses if they are sold without putting in the request, but surely making sure that his career is progressing is more important than the extra cash.

Depends which source you read - Fellaini will apparently be putting a transfer request in to force through a move today to them. Talk they will hijack the Ozil deal as well.

EDIT: The unfortunate Rob Dorsett in position once again outside Stoke's ground. The sub-humans down there are always a deadline day marvel.

I fancy he'll have lost the dressing room by the end of October & he'll walk out of the club at some point. It won't be his fault why they're not doing well and he's not been backed etc......

    - what a pile of ****e Di Canio is assembling. They are essentially all in on him now so I fancy them to be fighting relegation to the last day.

EDIT: Stephan El-Sharaawy to City odds are falling with betting suspended at some outlets. Bit sad to see even the mighty AC Mee-lan are selling to keep things ticking over!

Ten mega deals that will help set a transfer window record
The Gareth Bale transfer is only the first of several mega deals goiung down on deadline day...

    Daniele De Rossi
    Roma to Manchester United
    £15m
Least likely of United’s targets to come off. The Italian has no desire to leave Rome and his club are also in no rush to sell following United’s £10.75 million bid.

    Ander Herrera
    Athletic Bilbao to Manchester United
    £31m
The midfielder was left on the bench for yesterday’s La Liga clash with Real Madrid amid speculation in Spain that he had asked Bilbao to allow him to move to Old Trafford. Conflicting reports suggested he had also rejected United, but David Moyes must still trigger a 36 million release clause.

    Mesut Ozil
    Real Madrid to Arsenal
    £35 million
Madrid will look to major player sales once they sign Gareth Bale and Ozil, who wants to stay in La Liga, would represent a dream signing for Wenger. A big bid is likely.

    Marouane Fellaini
    Everton to Man Utd
    £25M
United could be forced to offer more than the expired £23 million escape clause in Fellaini’s contract at Everton, but there is an expectation on all sides that a deal will be done.

    Leighton Baines
    Everton to Manchester United
    £18m
Everton are determined to resist United’s attempts to sign the left back, but the player is believed to be equally keen to move, so expect a day of tense negotiations.

    Yohan Cabaye
    Newcastle to Arsenal
    £20M-£18m
Newcastle are still braced for an improved offer from Arsenal, but the deal looks unlikely given the Gunners have had two weeks to raise their bid and have failed to do so.

    Angel di Maria
    Real Madrid to Arsenal
    £25 million
Arsenal have been tracking Di Maria even since he played his club football in Argentina and he will become surplus to requirements at Madrid once Bale arrives.

    Julian Draxler
    Schalke to Arsenal
    £42 million
Arsenal are still desperate to add midfielders and, at just 19, Draxler is rated among the best young prospects in his position. He would cost at least £40 million.

    Karim Benzema
    Real Madrid to Arsenal
    £40 million
A world class striker has been Wenger’s priority for the past year and, while Benzema wants to stay in Madrid, Arsenal have been encouraged that a bid could prove successful.

    James McCarthy
    Wigan to Everton
    £15m
Roberto Martinez has identified McCarthy as his No 1 replacement if Marouane Fellaini departs for Manchester United but will need to pay £15 million.

Doesn't Draxler play left wing? Shame we're not in for him.
