Aspas was £6.7m, wasn't Eriksen almost twice that? Anyway, the lad can definitely play but he's not the finished article at all and will, imo anyway, struggle to influence tougher games in this league to begin with. I'm not really sure he would offer us anything more than Coutinho does / will do when moved to the middle. I'm also not convinced Spurs are that amazing yet, they were playing the incredibly toothless Norwich after all.

Haven't seen the Spurs game nor seen Erickssen that much but it was clear we weren't interested in him, which says a lot. That we probably don't need a player like him. We were linked with him in January last year first, IIRC, and that's when we bought Coutihno, who, at £8m is a fantastic piece of business. Erickssen could well become as good if not better than Coutihno, but I think, reading from what people have been saying of him, his game lacks a clinical edge. Coutihno is already ahead of him in that department.
