Sacking AVB now, only days before the festive period might be the undoing of Spurs' season IMO. They had no-one lined up and whoever comes in has no time to change anything, little time for training and he hadn't lost the dressing room so some players might be peeved off.

And whoever takes over will have the brief to play with a more attractive style but not all the players are suited for that.

Borini starting for Sunderland. Would love it if he helped them batter the Mancs.

Sunderland are garbage but they have enough in this XI to be able to give the Mancs some bother.

Mannone, Bardsley, Alonso, Brown, O'Shea (C), Larsson, Cattermole, Ki, Giaccherini, Borini, Fletcher.

Subs: Gardner, Johnson, Celustka, Colback, Altidore, Ji, Smedley.

I have paid so little attention to Man Utd this season that I am surprised that team is them 'going for it'

Let's hope Borini can do it again.

Fletcher can nick a goal at any time. And I reckon Giaccherini and Ki could cause the midfield bother, especially is the straight through balls are getting through like they did against Swansea.

Thought Fletcher was off to Celtic?

Looks more like a relegation battle game this. Bang average sides with no world class talent any way to be seen.
