I was thinking about that myself yesterday, but I’m not so sure it’s true. Admittedly we haven’t been at our best most games but I think there is a big difference between getting an early goal and holding on to a win than struggling to break down a side, but scraping it with a fortunate late goal, especially one decided by an official.Originally posted by dom9 View PostYesterday aside, the same could have been said about us.
In fact there is no stand out team team at the moment. We'll see where Arsenal are after their next 4 games. And even if they do well in those, they'll probably bottle again it come February.
It's the most open league in years I think.
To summarise, Spurs are jammy f*ckers!!!If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I don't. The goal just comes at opposite ends of the games.Originally posted by RedReet View PostI was thinking about that myself yesterday, but I’m not so sure it’s true. Flukey decisions though are a different matter altogether.Oh I don't know.

But you score early, and the games is yours to lose. Both teams change tactics and you defend your lead. If you hold on, you’ve got it right tactically and deserve the 3 points (unless of course the other team batter you for the rest of the game). Spurs haven’t been able to break down lesser teams and have relied on fortunate late goals. IMO they have got their tactics wrong for most of the game and therefore are more fortunate to come away with the 3 points.Originally posted by dom9 View PostI don't. Neither team were second best for a start. Our 3 games in question were:
Stoke: Our closest to losing points, purely because of the pen, but we were the better side throughout and should have scored more.
Villa: Got an early goal and weren't really troubled despite playing poorly.
United: Fully deserved victory.
3 of Spurs games have been decided by the referee and and one by a 93rd minute goal, so IMO that is far more fortuitous.
It’s like comparing the ‘1-0 to the Arsenal’ team to them jammy c*nts United with their late goals and favourable refereeing decisions. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
