    Sensation!!!!

Rumour that Defoe, Lennon and King are to WITHDRAW from the England squad in protest at the alleged remarks made by that hooligan England captain, the lovely John Terry.

Here you go. This is from The Telegraph:

"It is understood the football fraternity is aware and shocked at the alleged incident... all the players involved are believed to be keen to see the matter kept under wraps."

The Daily Express, following a story yesterday from The Voice newspaper, reports that Steve McClaren is facing an off-the-field crisis after one of his players was accused of making a "deeply disparaging racial remark" toward a fellow England player.

For legal reasons the players concerned cannot be named but it is understood the incident is alleged to have taken place during a top-flight match in London. And, as the Express says, "such is the seriousness of the accusation that it threatens to eclipse all the other issues McClaren has had to endure in such a short space of time as England boss".

I have to say I hope this is true. I'd rather such rancid remarks weren't made, naturally, but the chaos and unrest this could cause to Terry, Chelsea and England would be fantastic.

          No.

But seeing Terry resign as the skipper because he racially abused another player, and member of the England sqaud, well, that WOULD be quite entertaining.

I hope, if this is true, an example is made of JT. Prominent sportsman should not be allowed to get away with this.

I sincerely hope JT did not say anything like the remarks he's alleged to have made.

What do you expect from a cokehead?

"I earn more in a week than you do in a year"

                  Nobhead.

Resign the captaincy?, I'll see it when I believe it. If it happened, the reasons for him doing so would get out and it would cause major embarrassment to the FA and McLaren.

                  So nothing new there then.

Oh yes indeed! That's what he deserves.

But Steve G isn't a great Liverpool captain - yet. So why will it work for England?

I actually hope it doesn't happen for one reason; I don't want Stevie G to be England captain. He's under enough pressure as it is with the S*n and Hate Mail on his case 24/7.

I advocated Gerrard getting the gig at the time, but having seen his captaincy of us get more and more negligble, I wouldn't be so sure he'd make a good England captain.

I don't really care but it's hard to think of an outstanding candidate. Neville would probably be next on the list but he's a fraud of a captain.

                            Er........

Tottenham Hotspur winger Aaron Lennon has been forced to withdraw from the England squad for Wednesday's international friendly against Holland with a knee injury.

The 19-year-old is the eighth player to pull out of Steve McClaren's squad following the withdrawals of Jermaine Jenas, Gary Neville (both calf injuries), Ledley King (knee), Darren Bent (hamstring), Stewart Downing and Scott Parker (both groin).

                              Neville???????? Neville???????

Get a fekkin grip man! Spliff down. Now.

Maybe SG would learn something - I'm not sure who from, mind you, but adds a bit of 'context' to his captaincy of Liverpool and adds another flavour to his life.

Is he up for it? Will it happen? Is it good for us?

                              Who the feck knows....
