Thanjk you.

There appears to be a worrying pattern emerging with our transfers of spending too much time negotiating a price with little movement rather than quickly establishing its a no go then moving onto another player.
Its not the losing out on Salah that bothers me but the time spent negotiating and putting all our eggs into one basket.
We wanted Salah,Chelsea paid £11m and we either could not afford to or chose not to pay that ourselves.
The rest can be debated for ever and we'd still be none the wiser.
Moving away from facts and on to opinion,Brendan said he wanted first team quality and has done since the summer so safe to assume he would have been in the 11. So we've not spent £11m on a first team player but have spent circa £31m(Borini,Alberto,Aspas,Ilori) on players who can't get near it.
The transfer committee needs to assess it's performance somewhat.

Not sure about that bit?
We may have matched the bid but most players are likely to see Chelsea as a more attractive option to us.
Possibly but most of the noise from the media seems to state that they outbid us.
Sadly your point regarding the attractiveness of those cunts does seem to be real all too often. If I was any use as a player I wouldn't go near them,I'd rather play every week and still be getting a whopping wage elsewhere.
It's because your context is different to the one Salah is (or anyone else for that matter). Chelsea are regarded as one of the biggest clubs in world football nowadays.
He won't probably strengthen their first 11. Keeps their strength in depth intact though. I mean, they haven't lost anything in selling Mata and are getting a promising and younger player in for him.
United will be benefiting from Mata coming in, certainly. Looks ominous for us, if they get Rooney and Van Persie back quickly, they'll be right up there fighting for 4th.
