It's annoying aye but at least it keeps Scum out of the top 4.

No chance. Barkley's good but he's nowhere near Gerrard's level IMO.Originally posted by Gibbo View PostBet this is what the Bitters felt like when Gerrard came through.
Cracking freekick. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Now. I didn't say that did I.Originally posted by RedReet View PostNo chance. Barkley's good but he's nowhere near Gerrard's level IMO.
It's obvious he's going to be world class, and it's frustrating that a club I don't like have a player that's going to be good in their ranks. The times they are a changin'.

I'm not convinced by Barkley.
Big chunky lad, seems great going forward because he is powerful but once defenders learn not to let him shoot from distance is there anything else that makes him stand shoulders above anyone else.
Bright and getting rave reviews because he is young and strong but don't think he'll actually get better with age. I think this is the lot.Football without Origi is nothing

Yeah, but you don't rate Bale.Originally posted by Nigey View PostThink he's a good player but world class potentially? Nah.
Kid can dribble as well. It all depends on how he adapts his game, only a year older than Sterling, and I've seen plenty of people suggesting that he could be up there. And his performance today was on par with anything Raheem has ever produced.Originally posted by ChesterDave View PostI'm not convinced by Barkley.

He's a good player, reminds me a bit of Gazza. He's got a bit of a lazy touch sometimes though. Are we winning?

It's very early days. He looks decent and Everton are playing well, but plenty do at his age. I do think he will go on to be a good player, but equally he could just be another Rodwell.Originally posted by Gibbo View PostNow. I didn't say that did I.

He's so much more technically gifted than Rodwell though. Awareness, vision, decision making, close control; he has already got a skillset few English CMs have, he'll be able to dictate games played at a slower tempo if he develops as he should. Scholes is the only other player England have had like that in a very long time.Like blood on iron

Ha ha, where? Maybe Dave calling him fat, but just bacuase some people don't agree that he's as good as the greatest midfielder of our generation is hardly being bitter.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostSome bitter comments here about Barkley!
The kid's going to be bloody good and we have no idea if he will match or surpass Gerrard's level. Give it a few seasons and we'll see.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
