    Bolton are ruined

Bolton have announced they are £163.8m in debt after parent company Burnden Leisure PLC released its figures for the year ending June 2013 - the club's first season in the Championship.

The group made a loss of £50.7m, which saw net debt rise from £136.5m..

Surely with debt that high its a matter of when, not if.

I'm not so sure. Everyone says that football is a business these days. It is a business alright but it's just not like any other business. Some wealthy guy who has been a Bolton fan all his life will buy the club if Burnden Leisure want to sell.

All I want is that it's Gartside's fault.

Probably why Gartside was so strongly against relegation and having franchised Premiership teams, if those figures are true they are in serious trouble

I don't get how these teams get themselves in such a mess. They still get **** loads of money in parachute payments. Its bizarre.

Seriously though, the model for the majority of teams has to be Southampton. Train your own players and bring them through, topped up with a few quality foreigners. Filling the team with imports will only last so long. I hope they pull through because Bolton wanderers have a terrific history.
