Seen Mourinho's comment tonight about Gerrard. Would have loved him to sign for him. Says maybe one day Mourinho will manage Liverpool! Odd thing to say.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Now I've moved up to the lake district I thought I'd get some tickets for me and the missus to watch Preston. I used to go back in the days of the plastic pitch with my dad. As its only 40 minute drive away now I thought why not. Got two in the Tom Finney stand, have to say the whole experience was very good. Parking a doddle right opposite the ground and relatively easy to get away. Its been a while since I took in a lower league game live and obviously the atmosphere was helped by the fact it was a playoff second leg, however I will definitely be going again. Old school chants, great away support from chesterfield and a pitch invasion at the end whereby the ex Blackpool player who was booed throughout took a couple of slaps. Obviously I'm not condoning that part. There is a connection between players and fans you don't get at the top level these days. The quality at times is hit and miss but let's be honest the premier league is **** more often than not. Beckfords second goal was awesome. Fit for any ground.

£20 a ticket, that's the part I think I liked best. It felt like value for money. But on the flip side £20 to watch a dire ni nill draw on a Tuesday night and I may feel differently.

Do I get tickets to watch the final at wembley. It was less than 4 miles from where I previously lived ffs. Decisions. I think I might.

                    yep that's us.

the wife has never been to a game and I thought this would be a good one to start with. She's just said over dinner she wants to go again. So looks like next season regardless of the division we will be off to Preston from time to time. Liverpool will always be my team, I just hate top level football and the circus around it these days. I got more out of today than watching any Liverpool game on TV this season.

Liverpool have played Preston away the past 2 pre-seasons and I imagine again this summer, good day out for a sing song. Should go if/when its announced

The only lower league match I've been to was Brentford and it was ****ing cold and the football was **** but there were goals, meat pies and good value all round.

Top tier football is mere percentages and you pay for the privilege.

I used to go to Colchester loads. But its £25 a ticket now. The football is dire and the new ground is a soulless hole of a place.

They get 3000 people in a 10,000 seater stadium. If they dropped the ticket price they would almost certainly increase attendance. In turn giving the ground more atmosphere.

Its a shame, because at last count Colchester was around 120,000 strong if you include the boroughs. Closest team is Ipswich, but its 25 miles down the road. They could fill that stadium weekly.

I nearly went too, I only didn't cos it would've been an early start and I wanted to watch us at Chelsea. My Dad and a load of mates went.

I watched it on TV - sounds crazy after a 4-0 aggregate loss but I thought Chesterfield were the better side over 180 minutes. Preston hardly had a kick. The difference was an ex Premier League striker, and the fact Chesterfield sold their 25 goal top scorer and played without a striker.

Lower league football is great though.. The chants are a bit cringey and very Soccer AM, but you do get some funny ones too.

                                This is odd.

Schalke 04 have released Sidney Sam and KP Boatang after the defeat at the weekend.

If I was Brendan Id certainly have a look at Sam. They only signed him this summer gone, hes only 27.
