Heard a Journo last night talking about how the plane had diverted, and couldn't land at one airport as they couldn't take night time landings, so the pilot choose to fly to another one, with fuel low.

That was what was suspected, then this morning a leaked tape of the pilot calling in just before the crash saying they had ran out of fuel.

Terrible for the families to hear that.

Awful, surely international treaties permit the landing of planes in emergency circumstances like imminent fuel expiry?

I don't think the airport in question had the capability to have planes land at night.

Although you'd think some sort of makeshift runway lights could have been put out, i'm not sure if that's enough.

Blimey. Jugoslavia returns in sporting form.

Would this replace the current domestic leagues?

It would take Ozil about 7.5 days to pay off my mortgage!
