Does that surprise anyone? Only the English and the English press think English managers are worth anything.

They are supposed to be signing Matteo Musacchio also - Villarreal CB - for a low fee also. Doing well in the transfer market - RR would walk into our team!

I know we can't sign everyone and the club have their targets, the point I'm trying to make is that there is VALUE to be had out there:

RR had a €22m buyout clause - so approx £17m. He is proven international quality and consistently good. We play Milner at LB and might spend up to the same amount on Sessegnon (who could be a worldie but is another educated punt)

Musacchio been one of the best CBs in La Liga for a number of years, mid 20s and Milan getting him for €14m as he has 1 year left on his contract. That should tick every box for our transfer 'model'!

Sometimes it is frustrating with our apparent lack of early activity.

which gave details of Ibrahimovic and Pogbas contract details.....here's more
                ........
Cristiano Ronaldo......Ever wondered what it might cost to hire a football megastar like Cristiano Ronaldo for half a day’s work? The answer is £920,000.

Rafa Benitez.......Having started the season at Real Madrid, he was sacked in January 2016 after six months in charge. Documents show that when Real Madrid sacked him, they agreed an £8.5m severance deal.

But it got even better for Benitez. When his successor Zinedine Zidane led the team to the Champions League victory against Atletico Madrid at the San Siro last May, the severance deal meant that Benitez was still due to pick up a £500,000 bonus despite having been sacked.

With his salary from the six months at Real Madrid plus the estimated £1m he would have earned for his three months at Newcastle, Benitez’s salary for the year topped £10m.

Anthony Martial................United paid Monaco £42m in 2015 yet three clauses in the deal — one of which has been met and another likely to be next season — mean the cost of the transfer could rise to £67m.

There is another £8.4m due when he reaches 25 caps for France and he is 10 away. And should he be nominated for the FIFA Player of the Year award, United have to pay another £8.4m.

Inter Milan's Curva Nord ultras walked out of their game against Sassuolo after 25 minutes in protest at the club's season.

Stefano Pioli became the second Inter manager to be sacked this season when he lost his job on Tuesday.

With the score at 0-0, hundreds of fans streamed out of the San Siro, leaving a banner saying: "You don't deserve our support, we came to say hello, now we're off to have lunch."
