In the space of ten seconds he:

1. Loses loses his man attempting to make random unnecessary cover run to the right
2. Realises mistake trys to win ball from now unmarked attacker who he has just left in loads of space, with out much conviction
3. Only to get skilled, attacker plays delightful inside out pass to left wing. Panic stations.
4. Chases pass, needs to get goal side, doesnt have the pace to cover, lets recipient of pass cut in front of him to score.

I know it is only tediously related to football but this Rooney Vardy legal battle is fabulous

Background for those that don't know/remember.

Coleen Ronney was produced some Instagram posts that were only visible to Rebekah Vardy's account and contained fake stories about her.

The stories found the way in to the national press. Rooney made a public post saying that the stories were only visible to Vardy's account although never expressly said it was Rebekah Vardy that was leaking the info. Vardy sued Rooney for libel.

Anyway, today in court loads of text messages have been released that showed Vardy complaining some of the stories leaked to the press had not been published

Also, Vardy's agent was ordered to hand over her phone for examination but shortly after that order before she could hand it over it fell in to the sea when she was on a boat in the North Sea

So then, nothing suspicious there

West Ham played a player who was filmed kicking a cat.

Lets not even begin to suggest they're comparable.

I don't think anyone is suggesting that the situations are comparable, they're saying that the argument to purchase Goodwillie and to play Zouma are, which is right.

Yeah, sorry but this is a bit unfair. Not comparing the two situations in terms of gravity at all (obviously!), just the same awful "excuse" being used for the inexcusable.
