Just watched Football Focus from earlier today. Luton appear to be managed by Terry Tibbs and their centre-half has more chins than me!
                Never knowingly optimistic

Bob Wilson: Arsenal legend to have prostate cancer treatment

Arsenal legend and veteran broadcaster Bob Wilson has prostate cancer.
The 72-year-old former Scotland goalkeeper, who played for the Gunners from 1963 to 1974, has cancelled his work and charity commitments.

With his wife Megs, he set up the Willow Foundation - a charity which supports seriously ill young people - after their 31-year-old daughter Anna died in 1998 from a rare cancer type.

Wilson requested that his privacy be respected while he undergoes treatment.
After hanging up his boots in 1974, Wilson spent many years as a coach at Arsenal and also worked as a television presenter for the BBC and ITV.

Wilson, who was at Wembley for Arsenal's FA Cup semi-final victory against Wigan Athletic on Saturday, said: "I am very confident that the treatment I am receiving will prove successful."

His son, BBC Radio 4 presenter John Wilson, said: "Knowing how strong my dad is, I have every faith he will be back to match fitness very soon indeed."
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in men in the UK - every year more than 40,000 are diagnosed with it.

Treatment can include keyhole surgery and radiotherapy.

A guy in my office (who is a scouser so im presuming is a Liverpool fan...) was on a day of but nipped in to pick something up. He brought his kids with him and his lad was kicking a balloon around so somebody asked him who he supports...

Kid: "a little bit Man united.."
Dad cuts in: "No you don't"
                        Kid: "Chelsea"
Dad: "No you don't! You're not having any ice cream today"

Port Vale: Daniel Jones sacked over Doug Loft 'facial injury'

Port Vale have sacked defender Daniel Jones with immediate effect following the training ground incident that left captain Doug Loft with a facial injury, reports BBC Radio Stoke.

Loft, 27, has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a suspected broken cheekbone in an altercation on Thursday.

Vale manager Micky Adams said the club would hold an internal investigation.
And they have opted to sack Jones, 27, who had a further year on his contract.
Loft is out of contract at the end of the season.

The League One club have said that they will not be issuing any further statement until later this week.

Neither player - both of whom have been first-team regulars for the last two months - appeared in Saturday's 4-2 defeat at Notts County.

Vale, who came up from League Two last year, suffered a second straight defeat to fall 10 points adrift of the League One play-offs with four games left, ending any lingering hopes they might have had of a second successive promotion.
"It's been a poor week for us," Vale boss Adams told BBC Radio Stoke,
"For legal reasons, there's very little I can say other than on Thursday there was an incident between two players.

"The training ground incident resulted in one of the players, who I might add is an innocent party to this, receiving a facial injury that has consequently ruled him out for the rest of the season.

"It's another negative headline that, for some reason, this club attracts. But it has to be dealt with internally.

"Incidents like we had are disappointing, but they happen.
"The players who have represented the club over the past two years should feel proud. Even in the season when we went into administration, I was proud of everybody's efforts."
