I thought that about 8 years ago, the bubble will burst anytime now..

since then its gone strength to strength and billions poured in,I cant see it collapsing anymore, just taken away from the normal man and becoming a corporate entertainment.

That's kinda what I mean. A soulless game, no atmosphere in stadiums, but loads of money sloshing around and loads of sanitised footy for TV viewers.

the club and the league, is sold on atmosphere/passion/emotion which seems to be fading out, you'd think to protect their 'product' they'd have a cheap stand in each stadium, invest in youth football and produce our own talent instead of folking out £100 mil+ on a player

I was waiting for the implosion as happened in Italy during the 90's; unfortunately i can't see it happening anytime soon.

They have taken the American football model, which from the outside seems to work; full stadia, $$$$$ a plenty from TV rights & very rich players.
