Definitely going to happen with Stevie.

One would hope we're not going to plumb the depths of near financial collapse and Bodge any time soon!
Aye, it's because of Kenny I can't see Gerrard getting the gig. As much as Kenny played a vital role in uniting the fanbase after the Hodgson fiasco and although he actually didn't do that bad, he obviously wouldn't have been FSG's first choice and I can't see them falling into that trap again.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

The other thing with Kenny was he was already working for the club (albeit in non-coaching type role). For Gerrard to get the LFC manager's job, he either needs to have success elsewhere and earn the job that way, or he needs to leave management and rejoin the club in a coaching role in order to step up in a temporary capacity when needed, do well there to be made the manager longer term.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Finished 2-2 and no away goals in the final - all to play for in leg 2.

Boring end to that game, lacked any quality or passion.

And what's with river fans not being allowed in the stadium? I could google it i guess but after losing 20mins of my life to the game i can't be arsed.

Too early to be calling a taxi for Henry?

Wonder why it was built 3 sided.

Guess it was built up over time & they haven't been able to purchase the land on that side - looks like there's a road running along side it too but this shouldn't be a problem for expansion...

Yep - 'La Bombonera was built between 1938 and 1940, and, as the legend goes, received its name because the architect suddenly realised the similarities between the stadium and a chocolate (bombon) he was eating.

La Bombonera at that time had stands on three sides. The fourth side was left open with just a few VIP boxes and an obelisk, which was because of a lack of space due to the residential buildings just across the street.'

Buddy of mine was backpacking in Argentina around 15 years ago and went to the Superclassico. He said both sets of fans were coked out of their heads around the city and the atmosphere was nothing he’d ever seen and he’s been to a lot of big sporting events.
