Which reminds me: one of the new builds was Juve's Delle Alpi which only lasted 16 years before they moved to another new one. Madness.

Gary Mabbutt OG to win it. Agree those were the days, when even watching Spurs v Coventry in the final was exciting.
It was because you didn’t have access to literally every game like we do now so watching a live game was a bit of a rarity.
Old Wembley was so unique also it have the final a special feel.Modifying post.

England had a game against Brazil a few days later and the Brazilians couldn't understand why Bennett wasn't in the team; (I don't think he was even in the squad for that matter).

You ‘think’? How can you ever forget that one?Originally posted by Norbs View PostI think I was at that final but can't be sure. I went to quite a few in the 80s as my Uncle qualified for a ticket allocation as chairman of a non-league side

I went to one with my cousin who supports Spurs but thought it was the Brighton final but they played Utd and the only one I saw with Utd was 1977 when we lost to themOriginally posted by Tee View PostYou ‘think’? How can you ever forget that one?
Coventry had a kit a bit like Brighton so must've been that one
