Imgur? Huh I just checked... Looks like they blocked the UK and not the other way round. Interesting. What should I default to for this place.

Premier League referee Anthony Taylor has criticised the "expectation of perfection" culture that officials are subject to, and says his family no longer go to his matches because of the abuse he receives.

The 46-year-old says he is so concerned by attitudes towards referees, there are times he thinks, 'Is it all worth it?'.
Retire then you bent cunt! Make everyone happy! They should make a new rule. If a ref is getting constant abuse its clearly because hes **** and should be replaced. Good refs dont get much abuse.

I don't think anyone is genuinely expecting perfection but the lack of transparency creates discontent from supporters. They have ****ed up the game as a spectacle with VAR. Best match I have attended - by far -.over the last 5 years or so has been a carabao cup game against West Ham. No var.

Whenever these cunts have shown a tiny bit of transparency, they have shown themselves to be inept, potentially dodgy and have zero sense of accountability. Spurs game with the wrong Diaz call for instance. Mate. Good process.

All they had to do was copy rugby for **** sake. Have one video referee (not sure why they need multiple pricks in the VAR room.....so the checker can check with another checker??) and mike the pricks up. And guess what, people don't always agree with rugby referees calls but at least they get transparency on how they reached a decision

I don't think anyone expects the on field officials to be perfect, but with VAR technology and support should be getting us to the point where the overall officiating team (inc VAR) is getting close to perfect. Most of the problems with VAR are the link between on field officials and VAR. And there 'not being enough evidence to overturn' a decision even though everyone watching the video replay can see the decision was wrong. VAR is analysing stuff in detail, highlighting it to the fans and still getting it wrong which I think is what pisses everyone off. The processes used aren't suitable.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The one that really gets me is the lack of consistency. One match something is a foul, handball, red card or a penalty and the next match it’s not. Even during some games the ref will book a player for a foul and when it happens again another player won’t be booked.

Yep. They need more officials in the back room, non-referees who don't have the obligation to be partisan
