It does feel like the worst possible career choice. I don't blame him really, he's only a kid, but he seems to have been poorly advised by his family. Far too much pressure on him already.

Oh god yeah I don't blame him, he's 16 Madrid come calling it must be a dream come true but his parents/advisers shouldn't have let this move happen at his age.

Way too much pressure had already been put on his shoulders with his talent and being scouted by pretty much all the top teams in Europe let alone lumping a very public move to Madrid on him as well.

I don't think it's got anything to do with him being badly advised but more to do with Madrid's piss poor management of the player if that article is correct.

Of course he's going to enjoy playing with the 'galacticos' but that is a privalage that should be earned from playing well with your current team mates.

He will come good they've just prolonged his development IMO

I disagree its a combination of the two firstly allowing him to move there so young wasn't the right thing to do and Madrid as a club certainly should be managing his situation better.

I'm sure he'll come good but as you say going there will have probably set him back a little bit.

We've taken many young players who have shown quality at a young age and turned them ****.
Madrid is a huge club and should have dealt with this situation better. I cannot think of a better place to be other than Citeh with there new set up personally.

It's been the whole media circus around all of this we've picked up young lads as well (Sterling for one) but with talk of him being the next wonderkid and talk of him going to be in the same league as the Messi's and Ronaldos doesn't help especially at that sort of age he should have been protected better by both family and the club.

All the time during the saga of where he'd end up came the words.... 'he has good advisors, his Dad wont make a mistake and go where the money is, he'll base it totally on football and his sons development'.

Looks like they've registered him for the senior team's match against Almeria and he's likely to make the bench.
