If Suarez is fit I can't see anything other than Uruguay for top spot.

They have the advantage if his is not in that I think they have the games getting progressively harder so they can ge the job done early and avaoid a tricker last match against Italy.

England get progressively easier so could be out by the time they play the expected whipping boys Costa Rica.

      Uruguay and Italy for me.

          England 0 Italy 0

          England 0 Uruguay 0

          England 1 Costa Rica 0

Is that enough for us to qualify? I can't be bothered to guess the rest.

Well it Italy and Uruguay draw 0-0 then it comes down to wins against Costa Rica so 1-0 would probably mean elimination

Italy are garbage, can only see them winning 1 game in this group if they are lucky

England will finish 2nd behind Uruguay I reckon.

Think everyone is remembering the Uruguay from 4 years ago. From what I have read of reports recently they are a diminishing force. 2 fantastic strikers, and Lugano. Even he cant get in the West Brom side.

Ill probably be wrong, but I cant see them beating us and Italy.

Godin from Madrid is a great defender as well, and Muslera is a very solid GK. CM is pretty solid as well. They have some weak spots around the backs especially though, and are reliant on Cavani/Suarez producing up front, although Forlan have made a whole lot of assists.

Its only from what I have read I am basing my opinion on. Plenty seem to be suggesting they are a spent force. Itd be interesting to see how they do against Costa Rica before I make up my mind I guess. Its hard to regularly watch South American World Cup qulifiers

Havn't watched much myself, mainly forming my opinion from the squad list

And that is more impressive than suggesting washed up IMO :P But they have had some difficulties in the qualifiers from what I gather.

Pereira & Godin are good. Caceres,Lugano & Coates are dodgy IMO.

I think both Italy & Uruguay are poor and people predicting them to do well will be basing it on past exploits. England on the other hand are actually being underestimated.

I think England will win this group, but i wouldn't bet a penny on this group. All three big teams are of a similar level.
                              Forwards.......

Yep it should be tight. I think England with a good modern manager would beat all three sides comfortably. But Hodgson and the conditions will act as levellers.
