Arjen Robben Can Now Say He’s The Fastest Footballer In The World
Paul Ring
June 15, 2014
Arjen Robben recorded the fastest speed ever recorded for a footballer player with his lightening run past Sergio Ramos for Holland’s fifth goal in their hammering of Spain Friday night according to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf. They clocked Robben going at an eye watering 37 kph making Ramos’ 30kph look positively pedestrian in comparison.
There is some argument as to who the fastest footballer in the world was up until Robben on Friday night with FIFA saying it was Theo Walcott at 35.7 kph and this saying it was Antonio Valencia. Either way no one can catch Arjen it seems.

Report: FIFA Investigating France Claims That A Drone Spied On Their Training Session
FIFA are investigating what must rank as the most bizarre incident of the World Cup so far after a drone was spotted hovering over a French training session in Ribeirão Preto before their opening game against Honduras. French coach Didier Deschamps was not impressed:
“Apparently drones are used more and more, It’s not up to me. Fifa handles this and has been carrying out an inquiry; we don’t want any intrusion into our privacy. It’s very hard to fight this these days.”
It is not yet known who was behind the stunt or frankly what the bloody hell was going on here, but while we all would like to see more technology in football, this is probably stretching it."I will make the boys feel your support"

IAAF recorded Bolt at 44 during the fastest part of his 2008 gold medal run so 37 on a football pitch in boots is pretty sharp.Originally posted by McDermotX View Post[B]
