just had a proper look through the fixtures/tv scheduling

this a pretty good world cup - looking at my other commitments over the next month or so (mainly work and 5 a side on Mon/thurs/golf during sat/sun day) everything falls pretty nicely and i reckon i'll be able to watch most games with no issue

there are a couple that could cause a slight problem - the weekday 5pm kick offs will be a bit of a rush/may miss half an hour - and i'll be surprised to stay up for ivory coast vs japan at 2am on a sunday - but to be honest i can sky plus/avoid score and watch in full

can feel world cup fever building

Yeah surprisingly average although if they get a bit of momentum as the tournament unfolds they will take some stopping.

It would be great if a supermarket done an independent beer world cup. 1 Beer from each country, so you can buy a group A 4 pack for a fiver with one from each. To have whilst watching the games, then for the knock outs you can buy a 4 pack from whatever team you are supporting. Then crates for the semi's and final.

Also underneath each bottle cap would have a score and if that game ends that way, you win another pack
