Its going to be a player that's reasonably fresh going into the tourney. That automatically rules out most of the big club strikers. Or does it? Whenever Sturridge returns from injury he's on fire. He looked good against Newcastle (but Suarez wouldn't pass).
I reckon Sturridge will be up there with early goals. One tit for another.

Don't think he'll be in the squad. Lavezzi 4th choice.Originally posted by john316 View PostScary then that Tevez is a 4th option
Ah soz mate, didn't even see the last line of your post.Originally posted by Alex View PostThought you were laughing at my choice
No I think Fred would be a good bet. Decent value at 25/1.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

No idea what ESPN are counting (or not) but Wiki has 11 for Suarez and 9 for Higuan (10 Messi) that ties in with counting the goals individually based on the results on FIFA website - annoyingly they don't have an easy to count chart only match results.Originally posted by Darkon View Post

Still not established in the England side. I'm yet to be convinced Roy will start him through the middle, if at all. Roy likes a variation of 433 and Rooney through the middle. Roy will probably end up starting Rooney with Welbeck and maybe Sterling on the wings.Originally posted by BigChief View PostIts going to be a player that's reasonably fresh going into the tourney. As seen at Liverpool, Sturridge should play as the main man up top and have Rooney in support. But it'll be Rooney as the main man alone, he'll come deep for the ball and we'll be ****e as usual.Forwards.......

With all due respect, not a cat's chance in hell that (even) Roy will do that.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostStill not established in the England side. Sturridge will play all the games as the focal point.

I hope you're right. I can only go off all the previous England games to now. Sturridge only plays as the focal point when Rooneys not there. But maybe Roy has seen sense.Originally posted by BigChief View PostWith all due respect, not a cat's chance in hell that (even) Roy will do that.

Fact of the matter is Roy plays a variation of 433. If he does this, Rooney or Sturridge have to play wide. You really think that will be Rooney? Of course he could play the Liverpool diamond, or a 4231 with Rooney in the hole. We'll see.Forwards.......
