World Cup Intro Themes BBC & ITV 1978-2010

Came across this. Listening to some of the intro themes bring back some fascinating memories as a kid. Not heard the bbc 1994 intro for years but I had flash backs straight away. Got to say if I had to choose the best one I wouldn't hesitate in picking ITV's 2010 theme. The best one, hands down. Love it

How bizarre - it's saying blocked when I try to view on my phone, but works fine on my PC!

Just flicked through the more recent ones, the odd gem but I'd also forgotten how massively **** some of them were

That's the one that sticks in my head. Became the theme for Saint And Greavsie didn't it?

I think my overall favourite is Germany 2006 from BBC. I just really liked the look and sound of it - always got me ready for the games. Some of those ITV ones though I'd just blocked out of my mind. Utterly terrible efforts!

Usually the BBC put on a classy effort and the ITV one is generally shoddy by comparison.

Nessun Dorma was awesome- and the one for France 98- probably the bbc one.

This years ITV one is not a classic. It seems a bit like they forgot until the last minute and panicked.
