No, he seems fairly teflon. Playing that he is the head of this large organisation and they have bad elements that he welcomes being weeded out.
Things will change IMO. But I dont know that he will be one of them. He is a Belligerent President. Ploughing on with his 'Mandate' regardless of what we in UEFA and a few CONCACAF nations think.*Except Michael, who died.

He's Al CaponeOriginally posted by RichC View PostIf Blatter gets through this then the man is truly made of Teflon and seemingly above the law.
All this corruption has occurred under his watch surely he has to fall on his sword (its Blatter so not a chance in hell)
Perhaps someone needs to look into his tax affairs

Timing is everything imo, so would it be possible that this investigation could lead to the WC in Russia being re-awarded ?
Think the timescale may be too short for that to happen tbh, just made me think, wouldn't half boil Putins piss if it happened.
They'd have to find some very specific evidence for it to be the case though.

Yeah what i thought really, although some are saying if investigations reveal that petro dollars have influenced voting both the next two WC should be re-awarded, but as i say they'd have to have some very specific evidence to be confident of stripping said countries before the events happen, with a view to winning any future appeal.Originally posted by Alex View PostDont think the venues will change. Too many legal challenges either way and itll be gummed up in the courts for years.

It had already started before i even posted. This was yesterday.
Russia accuses US of illegal overreach with Fifa corruption indictments.
Foreign ministry tells US to ‘stop attempts to make justice far beyond its borders’ though it is unclear if country’s sports minister will be questioned during inquiry.Last edited by Vermilion; 28-05-15, 10:21 AM.

Presumably he thinks Prince Ali can win so it would be the quickest way of getting rid of blatter. If it goes ahead and blatter wins then he'll have to step down soon anyway so better take the chance now. I suspect he's wrong but it's presumably a calculated risk.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years
